A book, a drink & a story to share?

We again hosted another book exchange gathering with the Saffier community. There were snacks, drinks, and of course, plenty of laughter. Some people decided to read favourite passages aloud. Some shared poems they had written themselves. At the end of the evening, everyone chose a book to take home. Not necessarily the one they came looking for. Just one that somehow felt right. We also offered some books as a simple gift.

We’d like to do it again. 🌱
This time, in a cosy pub in Utrecht, with locals, internationals, expats, anyone who feels like joining.
The idea is still very simple: bring a book, have a drink, meet someone you didn’t know before and go home with a new book!
You might exchange a novel, read a passage you love, share something you’ve written, talk about a story that stayed with you, or simply listen and enjoy the conversation. No programme, no pressure, and definitely no literary expertise required.

We’d love for these gatherings to slowly become a little nest for exchange, imagination, inspiration and friendship, connecting people who might otherwise never have met.

This time, we were around 14 people. For the next one, we’d like to gather small group of min 8- max 10 people. Interested in joining us in October? More precisely, on 24th October at 14:30? 📖🍻
